Friends of Encyclopaedia Iranica

This website, Friends of Encyclopaedia Iranica, seeks to inform scholars and students of Iranian studies, as well as the general public, about the recent achievements of this unique scholarly project at the Ehsan Yarshater Center for Iranian Studies at Columbia University. The site will also serve as an independent platform, unaffiliated with any group or institution, for expressing support for the continued publication and the online availability of the Encylopaedia Iranica. Providing information about the background and the current status of the recent disputes over the Encyclopaedia project, which could potentially threaten its continuation, is yet another function of the site. Expressions of support for the project and constructive suggestions for how the dispute could be resolved in such a way as to guarantee the continued publication of the Encyclopaedia may be sent to: contact@friendsofiranica.org
